В статье раскрываются биографические вехи советского и российского ученого-юриста, заслуженного деятеля науки Российской Федерации, доктора юридических наук, профессора Николая Сергеевича Алексеева. На жизнь ученого, родившегося в 1914 г., наложили отпечаток Первая мировая война, Октябрьская революция и Гражданская война. Получив рабочий стаж на заводе, он поступил в Ленинградский юридический институт, по окончании которого работал следователем прокуратуры. Был призван в армию накануне Отечественной войны, которую встретил в должности политрука в полку войск НКВД. Уже в июле 1941 г. он был ранен и тяжело контужен, а после излечения откомандирован в военную прокуратуру. Н.С. Алексеев находился на многих фронтах, в том числе в блокадном Ленинграде. Закончил войну в должности военного прокурора отдельной железнодорожной бригады. С 1947 г. и до конца своей жизни Н.С. Алексеев преподавал на юридическом факультете Ленинградского государственного университета имени А.А. Жданова. При этом он около 40 лет возглавлял кафедру уголовного процесса и криминалистики, неоднократно избирался деканом факультета. Николай Сергеевич был ученым широкого научного кругозора. Его творческие интересы не ограничивались какой-то одной узкой темой или каким-то одним направлением исследований. В орбиту его многогранной научной деятельности входили самые разнообразные и очень актуальные проблемы уголовного права, криминологии, уголовного процесса и криминалистики. Профессор читал лекции по уголовному праву и процессу в немецких вузах, причем на безукоризненном немецком языке. В 1959 году Германская академия государственных и правовых наук имени Вальтера Ульбрихта присвоила ему степень почетного доктора наук. Отдельной темой серьезного научного интереса Н.С. Алексеева являлась тема уголовной ответственности нацистских преступников. Н. С. Алексеев принимал активное участие в написании и редактировании учебников по уголовному процессу и криминалистике, комментариев к уголовно-процессуальному законодательству. Его доклады звучали на многих международных научных форумах, как в Советском Союзе, так и далеко за его пределами (в Великобритании, ФРГ, Польше, Финляндии и в других странах). Заслуги Николая Сергеевича были высоко оценены советским государством. Он кавалер ряда высоких боевых наград, имеет иностранную награду, удостоен звания заслуженного деятеля науки РСФСР, трижды лауреат премии Ленинградского государственного университета имени А.А. Жданова за лучшую научную работу.
The article reveals the biographical milestones of Soviet and Russian scientist and lawyer, Honored Worker of Science of the Russian Federation, Doctor of Law, Professor Nikolai Sergeevich Alekseev. The life of the scientist who was born in 1914 was marked by the First World War, the October Revolution and the Civil War.
